Background

            I am a student of Gunadarma University who is in System Information department, I want to tell you a bit of my experience about the duty that must be done by all Gunadarma students upon entering 6th semester if they want to graduate. That is PI assignments or Scientific research. Scientific research is a systematic and objective activity to examine a problem in an attempt to achieve an understanding of its basic and generally accepted principles (theories) on the matter. The research undertaken is guided by various information (embodied as theories) that have been produced in previous studies, and the aim is to add or refine existing theories on the subject matter of study. In contrast to unscientific research, scientific research is conducted on the basis of scientific methods. The scientific method is a basic framework for the creation of scientific knowledge. In science is done by using methods of observation, experimentation, generalization, and verification. While in the social and cultural sciences, the most done by using the method of interviewing and observation; experiments, generalizations, and verifications are also conducted in research activities by experts in the fields of social sciences and cultural knowledge to obtain specific research results in accordance with their research objectives. The scientific method is based on the idea that knowledge is manifested through what is experienced by the senses, especially through observation and hearing. So if a statement about the symptoms should be accepted as truth, then the symptoms must be empirically verified. Thus, every law or formula or scientific theory must be made on the basis of empirical evidence. Scientific Research Using scientific principles (Suggests the points of thought, concluded by systematic procedure by using scientific / convincing proof. There are two criteria in determining the level of the scientific quality of a study: the ability to provide a clear understanding of the problem studied and the ability to predict: until the same conclusion can be achieved if the same data is found in another place / time. Making PI or scientific research in the System Information department is usually the making of an application or web. at first I was confused because there is no preparation ,and then every lecturer who teaches always give tips about making Scientific Research, and one of the lecturers give suggestions to make something that is around us just make a school web example. And then I am interested to make the web, because the average all myclassmate make the web, I think that making a web will be easier because many friends who understand and many friends who can help, after the saw how the process by my friend, I directly not interested or do not like the way the average workmanship of my friend, it takes a long time to make it, there is my friend until the 8th semester is still not finished  the web as well. Then I think again what  can i do easily at the time of the previous semester practice. Then I remembered that I really like the vb or visual basic program. Microsoft Visual Basic (often abbreviated as VB only) is a programming language that offers Visual Integrated Development Environment (IDE) to create software programs based on Microsoft Windows operating system by using programming model (COM). Visual Basic is a derivative of BASIC programming language and offers development computer software based on graphics quickly. Some scripting languages ​​such as Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Visual Basic Scripting Edition (VBScript), are similar to Visual Basic, but they work differently.Programmers can build applications using components provided by Microsoft Visual Basic Programs written in Visual Basic can also use the Windows API, but require additional external function declarations. In programming for business, Visual Basic has a very wide market share. A survey conducted in 2005 showed that 62% of software developers reported using various forms of Visual Basic, followed by C ++, JavaScript, C #, and Java. The programming language is easy and the visual display has been provided at all, in my class there are only two people who use visual basic including me, I wanted to make a matter of un exercises or national exam for elementary school students but I think if i make the program is ordinary or has made many student , then I think again what can i made by visual basic, then I think to make the expert system, that is about the core health is like a national exam practice, the user is asked to answer some questions what the user feels then answered according to the feelings of the user, and when it finished, it will displaying the value, but expert system application will diagnose the type of disease that the user feels, the causing and what should the user do. I have been steady to make the app, but after the thought of making the application is too risky for me. Because I have absolutely no knowledge of the medical world and if it is imposed the time and i just be exhausted to find all the required information. So I undo my intention to create the app. But I will still use visual basic as a manufacture, then I reflect again what  can i make with visual basic, until finally one of the lecturers who teach in my class say for what do you like tomake? So I have three important aspects that I want to make that is easy to make, never created before in gunadarma and what I like, and than I like a game from telltale, the game is unique and this is my first time to play it, the game uses a quick time event to play, the game is made up of five seasons, so the game is about a story with the end of the story we already have chosen, all the choices we give in the game will affect the end of the story, I am impressed with the game because I like watching a movie but I was the one who set the direction of the story, then I have an idea to make a game like that, then how did i made the game with visual basic. I will simplify the game first, if using the game is animated then I use the image and if the game has  the voice actor then I will use the text narration. I think the codes in use are too easy just using show and hide, but I also have to search for stories, pictures, sound effects, and all the possibilities that the user chooses to determine the ending of this story. I used the story books  for pictures and the internet for sound effects and my imagination for the story. The first day when i meet my guidance i gave her my proposal about the game application that I wanted to create, I told her clearly to his supervisor. My PI proposal was immediately accepted by the supervisor.

Analysis Subject, Verb, Complement, Modifier

• SUBJECT complement is a noun , pronoun , adjective , or another construction (acting as a noun or adjective ) following verbs of being or linking verb and serves to explain or refer to the subject of the sentence .
• VERB is a function word to indicate the action of the subject , showing events or circumstances . Verb is one of the eight parts of speech. English verbs are not always simple shape ( one word ) , but may be the result of a combination of phrases into phrasal verbs with particle ( get in , make-up , read over ) 
• COMPLEMENT a complement is the part of a Sentence that comes after the VERB and is needed to make the sentence complete.
• MODIFIER tells the time, place or manner of the action. Very often it’s a prepositional phrase. Prepotional phrase is a group of words that begins with a preposition and ends with a noun.

Conclusion

So the core of my story for you who want to make a Scientific research is to make what you like and never follow what your friends make.
